I am a multimedia science communicator specializing in video production and social media.

Born and raised in California, I earned my BS in Genetics and Genomics at UC Davis (UCD) and a double-minor in Environmental Toxicology and Asian-American Studies. In 2020, I graduated from Duke University with a Genetics MSc exploring how plant stem cells express their genes to develop.

Ongoing efforts:
– My brand, Notes By Niba explores the science of beauty, fashion, and skincare through social media. I share these notes on Instagram and YouTube (@NotesByNiba), hoping to empower viewers, especially people of color, with the scientific ability and product awareness to choose healthier and eco-friendly beauty and fashion products.
– Podcast interviews with places like Her Stem Story (another SAi effort) and PhD SOS. Topics have ranged from science communication to cosmetic science.
– Translating complex science into fun and engaging multimedia content.
